Coverage: 165 active published awards; 158 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Price reduction compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

Procedure rationaleAs Switch2 Energy Limited's meters and billing equipment are already installed in North Ayrshire Council (NAC) properties, there will be no additional set up and installation costs to NAC or tenants. If a different contractor is appointed, there would be new costs to NAC and tenants for the billing and metering equipment and there would be disruption to residents due to new equipment being installed and new metering requirements. By continuing with Switch2 Energy Limited, NAC achieves best value because a new contractor would charge for and install new metering equipment, increasing the contract value significantly. Also, there is continuity of service for North Ayrshire residents and NAC. |
