Procedure rationaleDue to focus on supporting care market post pandemic and cost of living crisis it has not been possible to undertake the necessary market engagement to review the current specification. Suffolk County Council (SCC) intend to direct award a 12 month contract (with the option to extend for a further 12 months) to the incumbent suppliers. This will allow SCC time to undertake market engagement and co-production of a new supported housing model across mental health which can deliver the best outcomes and value for money. Market Engagement will commence during the second quarter of 2023 and the procurement is expected to commence during the third quarter of 2023.
