What is being bought

Published requirement description

This Tender is for the Provision of Mechanical Insufflation-Exsufflator (MI-E) devices, Associated Consumables and Ancillary Services. MI-E assists the clearance of bronchopulmonary secretions in patients with an ineffective cough by the use of both positive and negative pressure.

This Tender aims to implement a regional contract for this requirement.

  • Not divided into lots: Following market engagement and the first pre-tender meeting it was determined that a single regional contract (not split into lots) would better ensure standardisation of equipment and consumables across all participating Trusts, supporting clinical safety and operational efficiency.
  • No preliminary market engagement: N/A - A PME notice was published on the 26th September 2025 whereby interested parties were invited to complete and submit their response to the questionnaire no later than 15:00 Friday 17th October.
