Orkney Islands Council has a requirement for a local bus and school transport Service to be provided in Orkney. This service includes a public transport bus service, school transport and transport services for children and young people with Additional Support Needs. This is a continuing requirement,as the current School and Public Bus Contract commenced on 1 April 2015 and shall operate until 31 March 2020. Contracts awarded will be for a commencement date of 1 April 2020.

Publisher note: This Prior Information Notice relates to a future establishment of a Framework Agreement and subsequent call off contracts to be established under the Framework. No formal submission is required at this stage. This notice advises potential tenderers that Orkney Islands Council will be holding a workshop at its Meet the Buyer Event to be held on the 10 October 2018 at the Orkney Library and Archive at 44 Junction Road, Kirkwall, Orkney KW15 1AQ. The event will commence at 10:00 am (Registration from 9:30) and finish at 2:30 pm, the School and Public Bus Contract Workshop will take place between 12:30 to 2:30. Interested parties are welcome to attend for the whole of the event or part of the day, registration for the event and further details are available at the following link: www.mtb2018_orkney.eventbrite.co.uk or by phoning Business Gateway on 01856 898595.
