  "description": "Demand for laboratory analyses under the contract is expected to fluctuate over time and may rise, depending on requirements placed on NHSGGC’s Laboratory Medicine Department. The estimated value (excluding VAT) at Section II.2.6) above of 540,600,000 GBP is based on estimated demand under the contract as specified in the Finance Assessment Template workload data. Actual demand may exceed that estimate in which case payments under the contract may exceed the stated estimated value.\nThe estimated value (excluding VAT) at Section II.2.6) above of 540,600,000 GBP [is a net present value (NPV) estimate of 27,030,000 GBP times twenty] and is at 23/24 prices. It has been calculated in part based on the expected annual value for the initial year of the contract (2027/2028) (see above re demand estimates) and on the duration of the contract at Section II.2.7 above, but does not take into account adjustments of contract payments for inflation beyond the 2023/24 financial year. Accordingly actual payments under the contract may exceed the NPV estimated value, depending on the extent of such adjustments.\nThe buyer is using PCS-Tender to conduct this ITT exercise. The CBG is a free and easy to use online service that connects NHS Scotland suppliers with third sector community organisations within Scotland and will be used for tracking and reporting and is an approved compliant route to the realisation of community benefits.\nBidders are also required to identify any proposed community benefits that will also be included in the Labs Managed Service contract. Such additional proposed community benefits should be developed and delivered in the Greater Glasgow and Clyde area specifically as a result of the bidder being awarded the Labs Managed Service contract.   "description": "The Board intend to commence re-procurement of it's Laboratories Managed Service around February 2024. The current annual value of the service is circa 27.5m GBP per annum. The Board is looking at a longer term contract which would allow for potential equipment refresh to be built in. The Board intends to work to a timescale to ensure that the award of contract is complete by March 2025 to allow for an implementation period thereafter, to coincide with the end of the current contract (as extended) of 20th May 2027. The Prior Information Notice is intended to notify suppliers of this forthcoming tender but also to allow for site visits for potential competent bidders in order to assess the available labs footprint and access relevant drawings and other technical information. Details regarding site visits and dates will be uploaded to the PCS additional documents area in due course. The PIN will be open until the end of December 2023.
