What is being bought
There are two lots for this ITT : Lot 1 Library Management Solution for British Council SALot 2: & Digital Application Solution for British Council SA2.1 British Council Libraries remain an integral part of our cultural relations work globally. We aspire to turn our libraries and public spaces into dynamic, modern, and engaging cultural centres across the globe. The presence of Libraries (both physical and digital) is spread out in the countries mentioned in the below table. Four separate instances of the Library Management software will be required as:2.1.1 For India2.1.2 For Srilanka2.1.3 For Myanmar2.1.4 Remaining all the countries will be hosted on one instance2.2 To ensure both the new libraries and our existing ones have a more contemporary relevance and far reaching appeal, we will develop a first class digital library in addition to improving our physical space. We see this as the keystone of our strategy. The existing system needs to be compatible with our digital library app to provide singe sign in access to all our customers across the globe. 2.3 We plan to bring the new and best content from the UK, both in our existing physical libraries and our new digital library , so that our customers will have the very best resources available to them. This will support our work for both development and the promotion of UK interests overseas.2.4 British Council Libraries (physical and digital) across the globe use Koha as their Library Management Software (LMS) of choice. It is vital that front end and back end of any library management software is user-friendly and interactive.2.5 British Council Libraries across the globe use Digital Library App to showcase and integrate various digital resources provided by third-party with a single sign-on customer journey for ease of access. It is vital that the interface of front-end of the Digital Library App is user-friendly and interactive. For the back-end interface as well, it is important that there should be scope to customize as per British Council requirements.2.6 Kindly refer Annex 5 for details on specifications for Lot 1 & Lot 2.2.7 Bidders have an option to bid for either or both Lot 1 &/ OR Lot 2. British Council reserves right to award business to more than one bidder/s.
