The contract provides specialist consultancy services to support the OpTech Strategic Review. Services include strategic assessment, stakeholder engagement, development of recommendations, roadmap planning, assurance activities, and production of supporting outputs to inform future Operational Technology investment and operating model decisions. This variation is a time-only extension and does not alter the scope of services or contract value. The extension is required to enable completion of the outstanding review activities and finalisation of all agreed deliverables.

- Change This modification seeks an extension to the contract term to enable completion of the remaining consultancy activities associated with the OpTech Strategic Review. The scope of services and agreed deliverables remain unchanged. The contract value will increase by £146,000 to facilitate completion of the outstanding review activities and delivery of the final outputs. The increase remains within the pre-approved budget and does not alter the overall funding for the requirement. The modification is therefore limited to the additional time and funding necessary to complete the existing contractual scope., Need for additional works, services or supplies by the original contractor/concessionaire: There is no change to the term, scope, deliverables or nature of the services being provided under the contract. This modification is a time only extension to the contract term to enable the completion of the remaining consultancy activities. If National Highways sought to procure a supplier for the additional services, it would cause both significant inconvenience and substantial duplication of costs due to: a) The time and cost of onboarding a new supplier b) The delay in project timelines whilst a new procurement took place and the new supplier was onboarded. c) Switching suppliers would disrupt ongoing work and impact continuity and quality.
