Coverage: 4 active published awards; 4 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Published-to-award variance compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

Procedure rationaleFerguson Marine requires pipe installation work on vessel 801. Despite efforts since October 2020 to source pipe fitters through recruitment processes and through a recently awarded framework agreement for temporary workers, Ferguson has only been able to recruit one third of the required pipe fitting resources required to complete the installation work. In order to meet critical timelines in the ship build programme, the services of a pipe installation supplier have been procured to supplement current resources for an interim period. Ferguson is continuing efforts to recruit temporary resources and a public procurement exercise for pipe fitting services has commenced in parallel with this contract. |
