What is being bought
The Future Services Programme is an NHS England and Improvement initiative to ‘join up NHS England and Improvement ICT’ and replace the current services provided by two main separate contracts, which are both approaching the end of their terms in 2022. NHS England and Improvement Future Services Programme is based on a tower model with each tower looking at delivering distinct IT services, the key service towers are Service Desk, End User Services, Networks, Applications Management and Infrastructure and Security. This opportunity is for the delivery of Infrastructure and Security capabilities to develop, manage and support Microsoft Azure Cloud infrastructure, Private Cloud/Physical Hosting environments, (some of which are on-premise and some of which are in a co-location datacentres) as well as a Security/Technical Operations Centre, Security Services and Security Operations. The Service Desk, Networks and End Users Services service towers have already been procured.

    Please note this is not a call for competition, however this notice does act as formal notification of an upcoming opportunity which will be procured through the Crown Commercial Services Technology Services 3 Framework, RM6100 via a Further Competition.The existing Infrastructure and Security services are provided to NHS Commissioning Board and its associated Healthcare organisations (NHS England, NHS Improvement and Health Research Authority) by the two incumbent suppliers. Additional information: The opportunity will be tendered through the Crown Commercial Services Technology Services 3 Framework, RM6100 Lot 3 Operational Services by means of a Further Competition. The Future Service Programme will invite the relevant RM6100 Framework Suppliers for a Virtual Supplier Event, which is expected to be hosted on the 30th June 2021.
