Masimo is the original equipment manufacturer and incumbent provider. The proposed award will ensure continuity of support for equipment already deployed within clinical services and will maintain compatibility with the existing asset base. A change of supplier at this stage would necessitate the replacement of established equipment, introduce implementation and training requirements, create duplication of costs and resources, and result in operational disruption to critical clinical services.

Retaining a proven neonatal monitoring technology reduces the clinical risk associated with changing systems.
