This needs to be supported by creating the equivalent of 5,000 additional beds, through expansion of virtual ward models, and includes eliminating 12-hour waits in emergency departments and minimising ambulance handover delays.<br/><br/>100% coverage will help to reduce health inequalities recent Red Cross research shows a strong correlation between HIU and the most deprived populations) and support the recovery of services through freeing up capacity at A&E and managing flow in other settings.<br/><br/>This model supports all 42Integrated Care Services (ICSs) in delivering their four core purposes of improving outcomes in population health and healthcare; Tackling inequalities in outcomes, experience and access; Enhancing productivity and value for money; and helping the NHS to support broader social and economic development. This improvement in patient care will support the most vulnerable in society.<br/><br/>We require external expertise and resources to ensure we can continue to deliver, maintain and grow. The programme and service has spread across a number of CCGs (now moving to ICS footprint) with local health systems indicating implementation and further systems in development or discussion to progress this intervention.",
