What is being bought

Published requirement description

This contract is essential for Highways Maintenance team to deliver statutory duties, including:

  • minor maintenance works;
  • minor coated macadam patching and pothole reinstatement to carriageways and footways;
  • relaying and replacing slabs;
  • relaying and replacing kerbs and channels;
  • adjusting boxes;
  • fixing and adjusting small signs;
  • cutting and trimming trees, hedges and shrubs;
  • removing obstructions from the highway;
  • providing assistance to the emergency services;
  • reacting to civil contingencies which may include severe weather events and oil spills;

The contract is intended to last for an initial 8 year period with two optional 2 year extensions
