This is an Award notice under the Provider Selection Regime Direct Award Process B for General Practitioner Public Health Services.

NHS England hold the main contract for services provided by GPs.

Additional Local Enhanced Services (LES) are commissioned by the Local Authority. Services provided by some Blackpool GP practices in addition to their core contract are currently below and may be subject to expansion. The GPs have a choice as to which Service they provide:

  • Contraceptive Implants
  • Intrauterine (IUD) Contraception
  • Tier 2 STI Screening and Treatment
  • NHS Health Checks

This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) confirmation of contract award notice (Award Process B). This contract has been awarded under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023.

For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 and Procurement Act 2023 do not apply to this award.

The award decision-makers are the Public Health Senior Management Team who consist of the Director of Public Health, Consultants on Public Health, Public Health Business Manager and the Portfolio holder for Public Health Services.
