          "description": "Gemscript is an integrated dm+d drug dictionary for the Vision 3 GP IT System that has been used in 45% of GP sites in Scotland since June 2012. Gemscript adheres to NHS standards to provide clear and unambiguous information to uniquely identify the specific medicines and devices used in the diagnosis or treatment of patients. Gemscript is at the heart of improvements in the efficiency and effectiveness of Vision 3 prescribing and allows the reliable electronic exchange of information on medicines and devices between healthcare organisations.\nMigration from Vision 3 systems finally began in October 2022, but an extension to the subscription agreement is required for the remaining sites still using Vision 3.  All Vision 3 Sites must be migrated by end June 2026."
