Coverage: 24 active published awards; 22 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Published-to-award variance compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

What is being bought
Due to the COVID-19 virus outbreak, there has been a very significant detrimental impact on the aviation sector, both globally and within the UK. This has led to the deteriorating financial position of many entities in the UK aviation market. The Government has already made available support in the form of an unprecedented package of economic measures, including support through loan guarantees, support for exporters, and financial support for employees. Through delivery of the project, the Government is refreshing and deepening its understanding and knowledge of the financial positions of entities in the aviation sector and developing a stronger evidence base in making both short- and long-term decisions. Any detailed formal discussions and negotiations with companies seeking financial support will likely require dedicated financial advisor support which would be procured separately and additionally to this overarching contract.
