    "description": "The DVSA have appointed a single supplier for the provision of services relating to the collection and selling of redundant DVSA testing equipment.\nDriver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) will require the continuation of service in reducing the volume of its Goods Vehicle Testing Station (GVTS) Estate and Facilities. This initiative, in conjunction with introducing Vehicle Examination Facilities (VEF’s) to private premises will assist DVSA to meet its primary objective of bringing Individual Vehicle Approval (IVA) testing closer to Vehicle Operators and Vehicle Maintainers.\nAs a result of this initiative DVSA testing equipment will become redundant and require disposal following work already undertaken to decommission the equipment in a professional manner to allow for the equipment to be used professionally once it has been re-purchased. All of the equipment to be disposed of would have been installed in DVSA GVTS and Enforcement sites network throughout Great Britain.",

    "description": "What DVSA want to achieve\nThe purpose of this preliminary market engagement notice is to notify the market that Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) will seek to find a single supplier for the provision of services relating to the collection and selling of redundant DVSA testing equipment. \nDVSA will continue to reduce the volume of its Government Vehicle Testing Station (GVTS) Estates in accordance with observed incremental growth rate in the Authorised Testing Facilities (ATF’s) market and moving the Individual Vehicle Approval (IVA) scheme out to privately owned sites called Vehicle Examination Facilities (VEF’s). This move was set up to bring the work that DVSA conduct closer to Vehicle Operators and Vehicle Maintainers; by encouraging private individuals and entrepreneurs to set up an ATF’s and/or VEFs for private and public use. This was a strategic and positive shift in the way DVSA conducts its vehicle testing business. \nAs a result of this initiative DVSA testing equipment will become redundant and require the equipment to be sold on our behalf. All the equipment to be sold was previously decommissioned from DVSA’s GVTS and Enforcement sites network throughout Great Britain. Due to the complexity of the how sites will be closed it is not possible at this time to disclose the location of the equipment and when it will require to be collected ahead of being sold. \nThe equipment that DVSA that will have been decommissioned in a safe manner to enable it to be re-sold comprises of, but not limited to:\nRoller Brake Testers (for light vehicles, heavy vehicles and motorcycles)\nHeadlight Testers \nSpeedrollers\n4 Post Lifts\nMotorcycle Lifts\nPit Jacks\nAir Compressors\nLoad Simulators\nWheel Play Detectors\nExhaust Extraction Units\nEmission Testers\nCabin Pressurisation Units\nThe specification will also include full details of how it will be required to be collected and sold; it will not be possible to keep this equipment at the sites ahead of being sold so must be kept at the awarded suppliers premises ahead of being sold.",
