Coverage: 21 active published awards; 20 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Published-to-award variance compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

Procedure rationaleMFT is commissioned by NHS GM to provide community CAMHS services within the City of Manchester (as well as Salford & Trafford). GMMH is commissioned by NHS GM to provide early intervention services for the population of Manchester which includes for the provision of services to aged 14 and above. GMMH and MFT have worked in collaboration in order to develop the offering to this patient group. By commissioning specialist CAMHS consultant time from MFT it means GMMH can maintain a joined up approach to the delivery of mental health services to this age group. Therefore in the opinion of the Specialist Care Group leadership team there is no realistic alternative provider.
The alternative would be to commission the GMMH CAMHS Team to provide this service, however it would not deliver the benefits of joined up working and service delivery for the client group in Manchester. Therefore the Care Group believes that it is acting fairly and transparently to in using Direct Award A of the PSR in order to award the sub-contract. This is provided for in the following regulation: ""a service that is interdependent with, and cannot realistically be provided separately from, another service which only that provider can realistically provide (e.g., because of a need for cross-specialty or cross-service working). |
