The service is being commissioned as a local enhanced service as defined by Part 4 paragraph 14(1)(e) of the Pharmaceutical Services (Advanced and Enhanced Services) (England) Directions 2013 (as amended).
The objectives of this service are to:
- Provide management of Acute Conditions in Community Pharmacy which require assessment, self-care and/or a prescribing intervention to walk-in patients and those referred by their local GP, UEC or 111.
- Build on the existing Pharmacy First Minor Illness, local PGDs and Pharmacy First service where patients are excluded or OTC licensing restricts provision of medication negating the need for escalation/referral back to their GP.
This is a 12-month contract from 1st April 2026 to 31st March 2027
The total value of the contract awarded: £49,355.

This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) intention to award notice. The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award.
