Coverage: 25 active published awards; 14 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Published-to-award variance compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

What is being bought
CaPPS (Cancer Patient Pathway System) supports the needs of Cancer Services across the HSC and manages the tracking of cancer patients and the MDM (Multi-Disciplinary
Meetings) where patient treatments/care is discussed. It is therefore a vital system in the provision of cancer care across the HSC. It was developed jointly by Kainos and BSO ITS and has been supported and enhanced by Kainos for the past 11 years. It is vital that this application is properly maintained as any downtime would have a detrimental effect on the care of cancer patients. It is also vital that the application can be developed to meet the changing requirements of cancer care and changing government directives in this area.

Procedure rationaleCaPPS (Cancer Patient Pathway System) supports the needs of Cancer Services across the HSC and manages the tracking of cancer patients and the MDM (Multi-Disciplinary Meetings) where patient treatments/care is discussed. It is also vital that
the application can be developed to meet the changing requirements of cancer care and changing government directives in this area. Kainos originally developed and delivered CaPPS, and have been providing support and maintenance services for a number of years and understand the technical and business
solution well. Kainos will provide 30 days of resource over a 2 year period to supplement. BSO ITS support and any resource not used for support can be used for development of the CaPPS application meeting a limited number of changes required by the CaPPS User Group. |
