Coverage: 36 active published awards; 36 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Published-to-award variance compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

Planning and rationale

No-engagement rationaleNot published
Procedure rationaleThe service can only be supplied only by a particular economic operator for any of the following reasons:—(ii)competition is absent for technical reasons. The organ was originally commissioned by the Council in 1956 from Harrison & Harrison to design, build, and install it (bespoke design). The organ needs to be disassembled, removed and stored safely in order to protect it adequately during the current refurbishment works at the Hall. As the original manufacturer and installer, Harrison and Harrison have the original drawings and expertise required to reassemble and recommission the instrument.
