BEIS requires a service provider to manage group litigation, individual case litigation and claims for compensation against BEIS, on behalf of the former BCC. These are personal injury claims in relation to industrial diseases or injuries such as Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, mesothelioma, asbestosis, pleural plaques (in Scotland), pleural thickening, lung cancer, skin cancers, vibration white finger and deafness. In addition the service provider will be required to manage the Coal Industry Pneumoconiosis Compensation Scheme (CIPCS). BEIS are looking at all potential procurement routes including competition under the new CCS RM6179: Legal Services Panel framework agreement. Additional information: In order to assist with obtaining a clear understanding of the market, BEIS would like to ask prospective suppliers to complete a questionnaire, accessed via https://www.delta-esourcing.com/ .
