The contract is amended to allow continuous support to young people requiring specialist wrap around mental health support in their journey to achieving education, employment or training until the amended date.
The additional activity required with this extension is the delivery of additional support hours proportional to the original contract:
- Total Personal Mental Health Champions Support Hours increased to 10,961 during the lifetime of the contract.
- Of which 1:1/Direct Participant Support Hours increased to 3852 during the lifetime of the contract.

- Change The Coronavirus pandemic has had an unforeseen impact on the level of mental health support needs and on the ability of this contract to adapt delivery to respond to these needs. The ESF funded Youth Promise Plus project, which this contract is part of, has secured an extension and to maintain continuity of delivery for the most vulnerable cohorts within YPP it is proposed to extend this contract to the end of June 2022 using existing project underspend and in accordance with the Covid 19 Procurement Policy Note 01/20 issued by Cabinet Office. This extension will allow YPP to continue to deliver this provision, which has been severely impacted by the pandemic. The additional activity required with this extension is the delivery of additional support hours proportional to the original contract., Need for modification brought about by circumstances which a diligent contracting authority/entity could not foresee: To maintain continuity of delivery for the most vulnerable cohorts within YPP it is proposed to extend the contract to the end of June 2022 using existing project underspend and in accordance with the Covid 19 Procurement Policy Note 01/20 issued by Cabinet Office. This extension will allow YPP to continue to deliver this provision, which has been severely impacted by the pandemic.
