Coverage: 5 active published awards; 5 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Published-to-award variance compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

What is being bought
BEROE is a ground segment software solution enabling flight operators to conduct satellite tasking, monitoring and control of UK MoD space assets. A one-year project seeking to investigate, develop and demonstrate a ground based open architecture command & control (C2) system for the Pg ISTARI UK MOD ISR satellite constellation. Focussed on maturing, deriving and identifying UK MoD requirements, testing hypotheses, addressing key challenges and stimulating industry to develop product roadmaps to support future operational systems targeted for non-civilian use. SSUN: The UK MoD requires a mission control system to enable Space Command to Control, Monitor and Task On-Orbit Low Earth Orbit satellite(s), Remote Ground Terminals and supporting Operational Readiness Activities (including Simulation Environments), with appropriate scalability, and protection, to enable and sustain flight operations within the Space Command Satellite Operations Centre (SOC). It is proposed that the BEROE requirement will be delivered using the Rapid Agile Prototyping, Scaled for Operations (RAPSO) Commercial framework model. The proposed framework will be of approximately 1 year duration and valued up to a maximum of £5M, subject to necessary approvals. Operational Capability is not within scope of this framework. Framework participation will be subject to successfully completing a Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ) and Invitation to Tender (ITT) process. There are three stages under the framework which will be – Stage 1: PQQ and datasheet responses to down select to 10-15 suppliers to take forwards to Stage 2. Stage 2: Demonstrate and down selection to final 2 companies. ITT “light” and tender responses evaluated. Stage 3: Funded development sprint to provide prototype.
