What is being bought
AHDB is seeking tenders from suppliers interested in providing on-farm ultrasound scanning for fat and muscle depth of sheep and a small number of beef cattle The overall objective of this tender is to deliver a fat and muscle depth scanning service to sheep farmers in England and Wales, scanning 25-35,000 animals per annum through a team of technicians travelling to client breeders’ farms, with the geographical distribution being broadly as outlined in the introduction above. For clarity, service provision in Scotland and Northern Ireland is not included in this tender. AHDB’s intention is to award a contract to one or more providers to roll out these services across England and Wales.
