Coverage: 249 active published awards; 99 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Price reduction compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

Planning and rationale
Planning budgetNot published |
No-engagement rationaleNot published |
Procedure rationale(a) NCC Group are the only supplier able to provide software that meets all the MoD’s requirements, including its technical and airworthiness safety requirements. The ASCE application is registered on the Defence Application Register as an MOD approved application. To transfer to 3rd party software, software support and
training would create significant and unacceptable risk to Air Safety across multiple Aircraft Platforms resulting in a loss of airworthiness and a substantial and unacceptable reduction in the operability of all the affected aircraft platforms.
(b) only NCC Group, as the Original Equipment Manufacturer of the Software, associated software support and training, have the necessary skills, experience and knowledge to provide the required technical support and user training and
(c) only NCC Group have access to the necessary technical data, as they own the background IP to the software’s generic modules and source code required to provide the technical support. |
