- Change The cumulative value of the modification has surpassed the £500,000 threshold for transparency across the contract term. This modification notice has therefore been published in accordance with the Provider Selection Regime 2023 Section 12. The below modification applies to the period 1st April 2026 to 31st March 2027. Expansion of the Community and Palliative Care in Partnership (PCiP) Service £3,100,000 The modification was approved by the Finance, Investment and Resources Committee of NHS Cheshire and Merseyside ICB on 17th February 2026 in line with the scheme of reservation and delegation and there were no declarations of interest made by members that would materially or adversely impact on matters requiring discussion and decision. The decision to award was made in line with the conflict-of-interest policy. There is no change to the length of the contract which will expire on 31st March 2027., Need for additional works, services or supplies by the original contractor/concessionaire: The current service delivery model is inconsistent for patients and therefore there is an opportunity to commission the service differently by expanding the existing community/ Palliative Care in Partnership (PCiP) Service run by Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to enable more co-ordinated / sustainable provision of care and better use of resources. The funding allocated to Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is to supplement and develop the existing service. The original contract value was £370,545,000 and the modification value is £3,100,000. Therefore the total contract value will be £373,645,000.
