It is considered that this contract can be awarded under section 41 of the Procurement Act 2023 because the direct award justification specified in para 6 of Schedule 5 (single supplier – technical grounds) applies. This is because Viking Arms Limited is the sole authorised UK distributor for the following manufacturers; Glock Ges.m.b.H., L3Harris Technologies, Inc., Leupold & Stevens, Inc., J.G. ANSCHUTZ GmbH & Co. KG, and Radar Leather Division S.r.L. Consequently, it is the only supplier with the necessary technical data, knowledge, and expertise, and it maintains the proprietary documentation. There are no reasonable alternatives for these goods or services.
