Coverage: 40 active published awards; 11 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Published-to-award variance compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

What is being bought
The current Preliminary Market Engagement Notice aims to gather information on relevant interested organisations (and their capabilities and expertise) that would be interested in contributing to the delivery of the second phase of the STEP programme (2025-2030) by producing 316LN(IG) Austenitic stainless steel for in-vessel applications. UKIFS is planning to procure up to 3 tonnes of 316LN(IG) austenitic stainless steel to cover the requirements of the second phase of the STEP programme. The material is to be provided in the SA condition, with forms of interest include forging, plates and pipe. The required chemistry and property thresholds are detailed in the RCC-MRx -material specification provided in the attached Preliminary Market Engagement Notice word document. The material will be characterised, tested and irradiated to determine their suitability for STEP in-vessel applications. UKIFS will lead the delivery of this testing campaign over the next 4 years through collaboration and/or subcontracting. The supplier is to indicate its capabilities to produce this material (in accordance with the RCC-MRx code), the quantities it is capable of producing, the forms that it can produce and the estimated lead times for producing this material.
