Payment obligations depend on the applicable regime and contract. Consult the official documents.
Coverage: 59 active published awards; 23 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Published-to-award variance compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

Supply of an instrument to replace the existing Talyrond 73UHPR (developed in a collaboration between NPL and Taylor Hobson) and Talyrond 295. The replacement instrument will be part of a national infrastructure to provide state of the art roundness measurements to industry via NPL’s measurement services. • Must be able to automatically measure spheres and hemispheres using multi-step error separation reporting both the component and spindle error • It must be possible to turn off any stored error map for the spindle. • Must have a reproducible spindle error at the order of nm level • Must have nm level resolution • Must enable export of raw data in ASCII format • Must run existing Ultra programs • The work will involve decommissioning the existing Talyrond 295 and replacing with a Talyrond 595 • Physical size of instrument is required to be similar to the existing Talyrond 295 • Support should be provided in the UK for regular service and for repairs. All of above must meet all NPL, UK and EU regulatory and health & safety requirements at all times. Taylor Hobson can provide a solution that meets all these requirements.

Procedure rationaleNPL is unaware of any other supplier worldwide that can provide the automatic error separation that this instrument is able to perform and is necessary to replace the capability of the Talyrond 73 UHPR. The instrument is only available direct from the manufacturer so there are no other UK distributors. The instrument is state of the art and will provide a seamless replacement of existing earlier models of the same equipment.
