What is being bought

Published requirement description

The Trustee of the Magnox Group of the ESPS is required, under pension legislation (originally the Pensions Act 1995), to appoint a Scheme Actuary. The current Scheme Actuary is appointed through Aon. This represents the cost associated with the provision of mandatory professional actuarial services to the Trustee. The appointment is subject to periodic review by the Trustee.

The trustee of the Magnox Group of the Electricity Supply Pension Scheme (ESPS) is obliged under pensions legislation (originally the Pensions Act 1995) to appoint a scheme actuary. The scheme actuary is employed by Aon.

This cost relates to the provision of mandatory professional actuarial services to the trustee. The appointment of the scheme actuary is subject to periodic review by the trustee. NRS has no influence over the appointment of service providers or the determination of these costs.
