Coverage: 15 active published awards; 15 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Published-to-award variance compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

What is being bought
UK Research and Innovation (‘UKRI’) is planning to launch a procurement for a 2 yr. term Service framework contract to provide Fire Safety Consultancy Works (inc. Fire Strategy Reports, Fire Risk Assessments and Training) for its component Research Council, the Science and Technology Facilities Council (‘STFC’). The contract will be for any such Fire Consultancy works with an estimated value of 1,000,000.00 -1,500,000.00 GBP ex-VAT over the 2-year term. STFC is applying a renewed and refreshed Fire Safety Management focus to its unique estate and infrastructure of circa 80 facilities including Offices, Laboratories, accommodation, and sub-stations — recognising its strategic importance as an enabler of world class science and research. The current estate comprises a portfolio of old and new buildings, a diverse range of space/accommodation types, and a gradually changing position in terms of building condition and functional suitability. This agreement will cover Fire Consultancy works. It is STFC's intention to appoint one consultant for an initial period of 1 year, with a possible 1-year extension (total 2 years). The forecast spend is estimated at between 1,000,000 GBP and 1,500,000 GBP (ex-VAT). The maximum spend will be 750,000 GBP per annum.

UK Research and Innovation (‘UKRI’) is planning to launch a procurement for a term service framework contract to provide Fire Consultancy Works for its component Research Council, the Science and Technology Facilities Council (‘STFC’). The Contract will be for any such works including Fire Hazard Assessment, Fire Strategy Documentation, Fire Risk Assessment and Training. It is an exciting time for the STFC estate as the corporate estate’s strategy is refreshed, underpinned by the recent completion of full building/asset condition across the entire estate. The contract will be based on NEC4 Term Service Contract with estimated building survey costs based on schedules of day rates for specific surveyor, and consultant disciplines. STFC would like to invite potential bidders to a supplier day at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory (‘RAL’). There will be the opportunity to learn more about the requirement, open floor questions, and to have a tour of some of the facilities on site to understand the working environment, diversity, and the potential of this requirement. Useful feedback from the days and Q&A sessions may be used to inform the final tender documentation, ensuring all valid options are considered. The supplier day will take place on Tuesday 4th April 2023 starting at 11:00am at the Science and Technical Facilities Council, Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, Harwell Campus, Didcot, OX11 0QX. The supplier day will last approximately 2 hours, comprising the following: — overview of the facilities and requirements, — open floor Q&A, — site tour, — individual Q&A ‘surgery’ (as time allows and as appropriate). If you are interested in attending this supplier day, please confirm your attendance by emailing STFCProcurement@ukri.org, including the information listed below. All requests to attend must be received by 11:00am on Monday 3rd April 2023. Space is limited on the supplier day, and attendance is restricted to 2 people per supplier. We would request that attendance is restricted to key members of your organisation that would have a keen interest in this project and be able to add value to the discussions that will take place. Please include the following information in your request to attend this engagement day: •Organisation Name •Representative Name •Contact Telephone Number •Vehicle Registration Number Please note, all suppliers will receive all the information that is shared during the tender itself, even if they cannot attend the engagement day. Additional information: At this time the Contracting Authority are looking to hold a supplier day in order to inform the ongoing specification and understand how suppliers would like to see this opportunity let.
