What is being bought
Reading Borough Council wishes to access quality services and resources to enable its Adult Social Care to meet its residential dementia bed requirements during the contracted period.To commence the service during June 2023. RBC requires 15 Residential Dementia Block Beds divided into 3 contracts each with a maximum of 5 beds per contract and each lot being staggered when commencing to help manage any voids. Contract evaluation and award will be across two lots - Lot 1 provision within RBC boundary and Lot 2 external to RBC boundary. Primary and preferential focus will be on Lot 1 provision, with any residual beds being considered for provision under Lot 2, but only where the bidder can fully demonstrate the person centred and proximity requirements can be sustainably and economically met for the entire contract duration.
