What is being bought
The City of York Council (CYC) is looking to commission 10 Nursing beds & 12 nursing EMI residential beds for an initial period of 6 months to support hospital discharges to stepdown & step up, avoiding hospital admissions during the Winter period within York.
CYC would like to have a geographical spread for the beds across the City of York to provide easy access for our customers. We would like to engage with the market to seek expressions of interest from providers who have the capacity to support the requirements set out in this document and who can commence as soon as possible. CYC are looking for a range of providers who have the experience, knowledge, and the appropriate registrations and trained staff to support this commission.
CYC intend to gather this information through short written submissions from Providers at this stage. The Expression of Interest (EOI) process will assist CYC to identify potential providers to engage further with in stage 2 of the process.

The Expression of Interest (EOI) process will assist CYC to identify potential providers to engage further with in stage 2 of the process. The contract is for an initial period of 6 months. Commencement date as soon as possible (September/October 2022). The value of the 6-month contract is anticipated to be in the region of £474,194.
