Coverage: 417 active published awards; 27 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Published-to-award variance compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

What is being bought
Durham County Council is excited to invite Ofsted Registered/Registering Providers of Children's Home's to a collaboration and engagement event. This event will be primarily for those providers currently offering services or looking to develop services within County Durham and/or the North-East region.
Durham County Council are looking to put in place a new solution to purchase Ofsted registered children's social care placements from April 2026. The aim of this event is to explore together what this solution could look like and consult with providers on plans for a new local agreement and how we can work in collaboration to secure sustainable services and the best possible outcomes for our young people.
The event will take place on Wednesday 21st May 2025 from 9.30am -12.30pm in Neville Hall at the Durham Leadership Centre in Spennymoor. (Previously known as The Education Centre on local signage - Enterprise Way, Spennymoor, Co. Durham, DL16 6YP)
We would welcome your attendance and engagement in this event to help us gather valuable insight from providers. It would be helpful for Providers to send representation from the organisation that will be able to contribute to discussions around contracts, frameworks and procurement.
This is a free event and we look forward to seeing you there.
If you would like to attend please email childrenscommissioningofficers@durham.gov.uk to book a space by Friday 2nd May 2025.
Due to venue capacity we may only be able to accommodate 2 people per organisation. If you would like additional spaces please highlight on booking and we will confirm if we can accommodate nearer the event date.
