Software-Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN) that compliments NGN application use and security requirements. There is currently no SD-WAN solution in place at NGN, however implementation of the technology is currently being considered. The standard setup for NGN locations is a set of at least two underlay connections in order to ensure redundancy. SD-WAN technology provides benefits even on a single link and is capable of creating overlays utilizing any type of transport.
