What is being bought
The University of Portsmouth is seeking to procure a contractor for the design, build and completion of the Victoria Park building. The Victoria Park building is a twelve-storey teaching and learning building which will house the Faculty of Business and Law and part of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. Accommodation will also include a ground floor café and event space and restaurant on the top floor with roof terrace.The works are being procured on a single stage design and build basis. Selection criteria are set out in the Invitation to Tender however in summary selection will be based upon 70% quality assessment and 30% price assessment. Tender prices which exceed a target maximum cost may be discounted.The form of contract will be JCT Design and Build 2016 Edition as amended by University of Portsmouth Schedule of Amendments.
