What is being bought
Newcastle City Council is the lead authority for the Tyne and Wear Urban Traffic Management and Control (UTMC) facility, which is responsible for delivering real time traffic management on the highway network in order to assist in delivering the policy outcomes of the constituent highway authorities and Transport for the North East by contributing to the objectives of: • A carbon neutral North East. • Overcoming inequality and growing our economy. • A healthier North East. • Appealing sustainable transport choices. • A safe and secure transport network. Framework Structure - The contract is divided in to two lots as follows; • LOT 1 - Urban Traffic Management Machine to Machine Data SIMs • LOT 2 - Real Time Passenger Information Machine to Machine Data SIMs
