This operation receives bulk loads of round logs to its timber yard at Heatley Hall Farm, Rugeley, which are stored until suitable for chipping on site. The chips are warehoused in specially constructed shelters on site for further drying until required for delivery to our biomass heat installations on an as-needed basis. This procurement is for the supply of services to SCC to assist our activity as timber merchant and as a wood chip fuel producer/trader which supplies wood chip fuel. The maximum expected annual volume approximates to 1,500 tonnes of Round Timber. Timber should be sourced within a 60-mile radius of the depot where possible.
