What is being bought
The Council wishes to establish a contract for the provision of an Advice and Information service. The Council is managing this procurement in accordance with the Public Contracts Regulations.
This is a services contract being procured under the Open procedure.
The council is procuring this service so that vulnerable residents can access high quality Advice and Information on Debt, Welfare Benefits and other financial matters, and to have better access to financial support from local and National funding streams. The service will also include supporting residents with general wellbeing, including guidance on healthier lifestyle choices and community involvement. This should achieve outcomes of improving the living standards of residents and avoiding crisis situations which might otherwise have led to the intervention of statutory social care and emergency services.
