Welcome to All We would like to invite you to a market engagement event on Thursday 30th January to discuss the Somerset Displaced Communities Review and Somerset Lived Experience Review. An in depth review of six Welcome Hubs across Somerset was undertaken in 2024, this included partner organisations providing bespoke support through the hubs. The primary aim of both reviews was to gain a detailed understanding of the impact of support from the voluntary and community sector. The reviews involved extensive consultations with a diverse range of stakeholders from VCFSEs, statutory sector and those with lived experience. The reports have demonstrated good practice, highlighted gaps in provision and identified opportunities for development. Based on the recommendations of the reports, a model for future provision will be shared at the market engagement event on 30th January. We hope to use this model to develop new ways of working together, encouraging partnerships and alliances across the sector in support of all displaced people, ensuring an inclusive welcome to all, prioritising integration, independence and a collaborative system-wide response to newcomers in Somerset.
