Coverage: 45 active published awards; 1 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Published-to-award variance compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

Planning and rationale
Planning budgetNot published |
No-engagement rationaleNot published |
Procedure rationaleutilise various Magnet products across its Digital Forensics Unit and wider force estate. These tools are embedded within our Standard Operating Procedures and Working Instructions. Any change of these tools would require re-accreditation, training and administration, all of which would come at significant cost, both financially and in terms of officer / staff time for training. Therefore, based on our current operating methods it is not possible to seek alternative venders of similar digital forensic products. Although third-party sellers are available, it is best value for money in terms of costs to go direct to the supplier. |
