Through our Combined Waste and Cleansing Services Contract, we currently provide weekly residual collections to c.78,000 properties, alongside fortnightly dry mixed recycling and fortnightly subscriber-based garden waste collections in addition to street and beach cleaning. \nThe primary objective of the supplier information engagement  exercise is  to communicate the expected direction of the Council to the supplier market with regard to these services, and to present and discuss factors that influenced decisions within the specification and suggested procurement approach. \nThe supplier Information event will provide an outline of services included within the specification, factors that may influence delivery models, depot site information, waste vehicle procurement expectations and an outline of the procurement process. \nThis contract will be awarded through MEAT in accordance with PCR 2015.\nFollowing the open tender procedure, one provider will be awarded the contract. It is proposed this will be undertaken on a price and qualitative basis to include but not be limited to the themes of Service Delivery, Health and Safety and Social Value such as Arun District Councils commitment to carbon neutrality. The scope of the services included in the tender will cover Arun District Authority only. Further information will be provided within the supplier event.\nWe anticipate publishing the tender in October 2024, with a Start Date in April 2026, however during this extended mobilisation time, the procurement of Waste vehicles will need to be undertaken and completed. \nHampshire County Council is managing this supplier engagement event and procurement process on behalf of Arun District Council. Additional information: The project team will be holding a Supplier Information Event via Teams on 10 September 2024, starting at 11 :00 hrs BST. Please allow around approximately 60 minutes for this event \nQuestions can be asked:\n•\tPrior to the event via the correspondence function for this project on the e-Tendering portal until midday 4 September 2024  - the project team will endeavour to address these in the information event \n•\tAt the event \n•\tPost the event via the correspondence function for this project on the e-Tendering portal until midday 17 September 2024\nAll questions and responses will be logged and circulated to all parties whom register their interest, regardless of whether they attend or not until the final question response is issued before or on 26 September 2024.
