Coverage: 103 active published awards; 90 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Published-to-award variance compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

NHS Blood & Transplant (NHSBT) intends to undertake a procurement tender exercise for a screen system for use in blood donation environments that is flexible enough to be used to construct temporary booths for confidential health screening and for the preservation of the dignity if a donor is unwell.

NHSBT now wishes to commence a formal procurement process and is seeking to engage with suppliers of session screens. The current contract ends in January 2024 and NHSBT would like to improve our knowledge of all current session screens available in the marketplace. This will aid identification of opportunities and gauge market interest in this field.
We require the services to cover the following: -

• The screen set must be foldable and portable for ease of transportation and consist of four (4) panels.
• The system construction may be flexible to allow panels to be added or removed as required.
• The screen set must employ sound absorbing/reducing materials sufficient to provide a high degree of confidentiality/speech privacy when used for health screening purposes and must weigh no more than ten (10) kgs.
• The screen set should be of such a design that it is capable of being erected by one person.
• The item must allow easy and effective cleaning in case of contamination without causing discolouration of the sheeting or frames.
• All materials used must be fire retardant and conform to ISO standard (NFPA – 701)
• The screen set must be safe to use and pose minimal risk of injury from cuts or abrasions, nips or trapped fingers.
• The Supplier must provide two screen sets free of charge to complete any operational testing necessary.
It is NHSBT's intention to hold pre-procurement supplier engagement meetings the week of December 4rth 2023 to December15th 2023. the meetings will be held remotely, the dates are to be confirmed. To enable NHSBT to finalise arrangements (e.g. send meeting details and agree time slots) for the meeting’s, interested organisations are required to send an expression of interest via email to Sahithi Bandi - sahithi.bandi@nhsbt.nhs.uk no later than 17:00 hrs (GMT) on 01/12/2023. This should include a list of your potential attendees and a brief overview (or a website link) of the Goods / Services which might be offered.

No business whatsoever is guaranteed under any resulting framework agreement or contract, and there is no guarantee that any framework agreement or contract will be put in place in relation to this notice. No compensation etc. will be paid if a tender or resulting framework agreement is withdrawn for any reason. Bidders should take part in this process only on the basis that they fully understand and accept this position.

It should be noted that this procurement exercise may allow other Health authorities to use any agreements awarded.
