This will be achieved by a combination of the following three factors: • New steam main & condensate recovery system to steam users currently served by the end of life Western Boiler House. • Removal of inefficient and end of life Western Boiler house & increasing load on the currently underutilised, efficient, EC1 steam generation plant by 450kWh (585 kg/hr). • Upgrading 2 of 4 EC1 steam boilers with burners capable of 10:1 turndown ratio to enable more efficient operation at low production rates during summer months.
