This enabled the digitalisation of paper-based drug charts across the Health Board, supporting safer medicines administration and providing a fully auditable end-to-end record from pharmacist verification through to nurse administration. In February 2025, utilising capital funding received from Welsh Government, the Health Board invested in the outright purchase of hardware to meet the current and anticipated future requirements of the ePMA programme. To support usability and ward-based workflows, laptop carts were introduced to house computer hardware and facilitate the secure transportation of medicines, improving the efficiency of medicines rounds and administration.
