What is being bought
Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council (the Council) seeks to engage with service providers in relation to a current unmet need for overnight respite care for adults with learning disabilities and/or autism. The Council will at this session present the specific need, including case studies, to facilitate meaningful discussions with providers that may lead to the identification of potential service models to address the requirements. The commissioning intention is that the outcome of this market engagement will feed into the development of a business case and potentially a procurement exercise during the latter part of 2025/26. Please note that the purpose of this event is to engage with the market initially, there is no estimated value for the contract as of yet. The contract dates within this notice are only estimates and there is no guarantee that the Council will go out to market following the market engagement event. The Council wish to invite all interested Providers to an initial briefing and discussion session where further information will be shared. There will be an opportunity to ask questions. Subsequently, the Council may consider distributing a questionnaire to gather more detailed feedback from the market. The session will be on: Tuesday 25th March 2025, 9:30 am If you wish to attend the briefing session Appendix 1- Request for Contact Details must be submitted through YORtender through the messaging portal before 24th March 2025, 12 Noon to allow an invite to be sent for the briefing session.
