## Description
Digital transformation is recognised as a core component of the overall transformation programme, providing the enabling technology for the majority of major changes required to reinforce our financial sustainability.  The council is already invested in Microsoft technologies and further investment to their technology stack will:
Reduce the number of contracts
Give resilience through use of cloud compute
Provide a recognisable skillset to aid future recruitments
Provide reusable services across Business Units
Position the council’s digital capabilities at the forefront of transformation activity
