CZMAI are the organisation with the legal remit to deliver marine spatial planning in Belize. This includes developing and implementing the Belize Sustainable Ocean Plan (BSOP), a marine spatial plan for Belize which is a key milestone of the Belize Blue Bond agreement, updating Belize's National Integrated Coastal Zone plan, processing and making available Belize's marine data in a spatial format. Additionally, their role includes providing support to other Belize organisations such as the Belize Fisheries Department, Ministry of Blue Economy and MPA co-managers with their marine data protocols, analysis and reporting. This contract will: Build on work delivered to CZMAI last financial year and directly support the capacity building identified within the National MPA Fisheries Monitoring Strategy for Belize.
