Payment obligations depend on the applicable regime and contract. Consult the official documents.
Coverage: 62 active published awards; 61 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Published-to-award variance compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

What is being bought
NHS North East London Integrated Care Board (NEL ICB) wish to commission an integrated wheelchair service for people of all ages who have a long-term need for mobility assistance in Barking, Havering, Redbridge, Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forest. The ICB envisages that the service will provide an integrated care model for wheelchair users, this is to ensure those with complex, long term conditions, are able to access the right wheelchair, quickly, and with appropriate information and support. The full service will cover: • Assessment, prescription and supply of powered and manual wheelchairs and associated postural seating accessories (WCS) • Rehabilitation Engineering facilities (RE) • Service and Maintenance Packages (AR) Our mission is to use innovative, personalised, high quality wheelchair/single sitting solutions to enable and empower residents to maximise their independence, and best support their health and wellbeing. A critical success factor is to ensure the new services are adaptable to changing needs of our populations(s) and new health and social care initiatives developed under the Better Care Fund (BCF), such as a single mobile /sitting solution that is jointly funded with Adults/Children Social Care in Tower Hamlets, and Whole Systems Integrated Care (WSIC). This service specification details the ICB's commissioning intention for an Integrated Wheelchair Service. The Contract is expected to commence in December 2024 for an initial period of 5 years. The contract may be extended for an additional period of 2 years at the sole discretion of the Authority. The maximum contract value is £28,524,443.00 (annual contract value of £4,074,920.00).
