What is being bought
The NHS England (NHSE) Health & Justice team in the South West are looking to re-commission integrated non-custodial healthcare services across the South West region.
This notice is placed as a Prior Information Notice in order to facilitate market engagement and encourage partnership working. NHSE invites suitably qualified and experienced providers to express their interest in attending a networking event which is currently expected to be held on Wednesday 11th October 2023. This is intended to build on the stakeholder events held across the South West region during April and May 2023.
The event will be facilitated so that providers/ potential bidders can network and explore opportunities to work collaboratively in the delivery of future integrated non-custodial healthcare services. The event will be opened with a brief overview of the commissioning vision and scope but the primary focus and time will be allocated to 'networking'.
The areas covered within the commissioning exercise will include the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner footprints listed below:
- Avon and Somerset
- Swindon and Wiltshire
- Gloucestershire
- Dorset
- Devon and Cornwall
Commissioners are giving consideration to integrating the following non-custodial services:
- Liaison and Diversion services
- RECONNECT services
- Mental Health Treatment Requirements (MHTRs)
This exercise is being managed by NHS South, Central and West Commissioning Support Unit (SCW) on behalf of the Commissioner(s).

This notice is placed by NHS South, Central and West Commissioning Support Unit (SCW) on behalf of the Commissioner.
